Some negative side effects could result from a body detox diet, such as bad breath, digestive problems, itching, acne, dark urine, irritability, headaches and emotional issues. Many people also start to feel faint, lightheaded and weak because of the low calorie intake. Pregnant, nursing and elderly individuals are advised against going on a body detox diet.
