Cayenne Pepper & Water Diet

A diet popular for detoxing the body, the Cayenne Pepper and Water Diet is also known as the Master Cleanse or Lemon Diet. This detox helps an individual feel refreshed and re-energized, and helps to reduce waste and built-up toxins within the body both and externally.

Ingredients

    To create the drinking mixture, combine 1/10 tsp. of Cayenne Pepper, 2 tbsp. of organic lemon juice, and 2 tbsp. of Grade B maple syrup with 8 oz. of room-temperature water. Throughout the day, you will need to consume at least 64 oz. of the mixture in addition to a cup of herbal laxative tea to promote cleansing of the intestines and further detox the body, as well as pure water.

Duration

    The cayenne pepper and water diet is ideally supposed to be followed for 10 days, but many find it very hard to complete with the lack of calories or nutrition. If you follow the diet, try to do it for as many days as possible, but do not feel you need to pursue it for the full 10 days if you feel weak or uncomfortable.

Benefits

    There are many benefits to the cayenne pepper and water diet. The total detoxification process flushes away built-up toxins and waste from the body, so that you feel refreshed and energetic. Since there is only water on the diet, many use the detox to help drop 5 to 10 pounds in a short amount of time. Weight loss is usually temporary, however, since re-introducing food to the body can lead to the gaining of a few pounds back once the detox is over.
